Jethro or a key does not respond
Check these in order. Most problems are fixed by the first three.
Check
- Jethro is on. Turn it over and check that the power switch is on ON.
- Jethro is charged. Plug in the cable from the box for a while. See Charge Jethro.
- Jethro is connected. The light on the bottom shows the connection: red for the USB receiver, blue for wireless connection 1, purple for wireless connection 2. Press the button next to it to switch.
- The Virtusx app is open and you are signed in. Without the app, the Mic key, Translate key and AI key do nothing, and Jethro works as a regular mouse.
- On a Mac, Virtusx is allowed. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and turn on Virtusx under Microphone and Accessibility.
- Hold or click. Hold the Mic key to dictate and click it to record a meeting. Hold the Translate key to translate and click it for the Smart Toolbar. Hold the AI key to ask and click it to open the app.
