Install the Virtusx app on Mac

Four steps to start talking. Allow the microphone and accessibility, so Virtusx can hear you and type for you.

Before you start

• Using Windows?See Install the Virtusx app on Windows.

Steps

1. Download Virtusx for Mac from the download page.
2. Double-click Virtusx.dmg in your Downloads folder.
3. In the window that opens, drag Virtusx onto the Applications folder.
4. Open Virtusx from Applications. When macOS asks, allow Microphone and Accessibility, so it can hear you and type for you.
5. Sign in, then start the Learning Center with Complete Your First Dictation.

Tips

• Missed the prompt?Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Turn on Virtusx under Microphone and under Accessibility.

If it does not work

• Nothing is typedVirtusx needs Accessibility to type for you. Check it in Privacy & Security.
